It is interesting that both my mom and my son made a similar comment to me the other day. My mom was saying how tough my dad's life was .. implying also that she was there also in all his toils and struggles when they had to raise me up. My son, who is in university now, also told me that life in university is so much tougher now, so much more assignment, commitments, and expectations. But I have to disagree with them both ... neither have it as tough as me ... life is so much more complicated for me than my parent's time due to the many technological changes and adaptions that I have to sort through and experiment as a guinea pig, and because of these new changes, the life of the next generation should be so much easier ... hence my son's life cannot be as complicated as mine.
Bottom line ... we all have a tough life!
