I Think I Love My Wife

What a great start of this movie but what a disaster for the ending. Chris Rock, who is the director and one of the writers of this movie, as well as the main character of the movie (Richard Cooper), has a pretty good idea of the struggles of a "domesticated" husband in North American culture. The fantasies, temptations, boredom, routine of life, as well as the commitment, expectations, loyalty are quite well presented. But what a way to ruin the movie with a not even half-baked ending. Did they run out of budget to finish the movie or what? The character of the wife (Gina Torres who plays Brenda Cooper) was never developed in the movie, so it was awkward to find the couple wanting to make their marriage work at the end all of a sudden.

Overall, the message of the movie is good: temptation of a married man is real, married life has more giving than taking but there needs to be a balance, it is not who you love but how you love that is important, learning to grow as a couple is important ....
